Local Awards

Chapters are encouraged to develop their own Awards Program. The Region 3 and STARFLEET Awards Programs are designed to supplement and complement chapter awards and are not meant, nor should be construed in any manner, to replace or negate those awards. Chapters that need assistant when developing their own Awards Program may contact the Region 3 Chief Administration Officer.

Regional Awards

The Region 3 Awards were developed to recognize individuals, chapters and others associated with STARFLEET the International Star Trek Fan Association for outstanding and meritorious service to others and the ideas of Star Trek.

Awards are given, when appropriate, by the Region 3 Coordinator and the Region 3 Awards Coordinator, upon recommendation of a chapter's Commanding Officer and/or the Reporting Officer. While any STARFLEET member may nominate any one for any award, the recommendation must come through the chapter's Commanding Officer and/or Reporting Officer. This list is provided in order to acquaint members with the awards, purpose and official decorations. All recipients will receive the proper uniform insignia and certificate of achievement signed by the Region 3 Coordinator, Region 3 Awards Coordinator and in some instances, by the Region 3 Division Chief of their appropriate department. The Awards are listed later on, in ascending order.
